Smaller class sizes mean teachers know every boy by name. A rigorous academic syllabus is enriched with drama, art, music, debating, chess, robotics and a hands-on design and technology program.

Compulsory Saturday sport — football, rugby, cricket, basketball, touch football. Annual swimming and athletics carnivals. We represent the school at IPSHA, the QUAD, and South Harbour events.

Our Story

From 27 boys in 1914 to a community known for excellence.

Coogee Prep opened its doors in July 1914. On that day, 27 boys began their education in rooms adjacent to the Randwick Presbyterian Church. After well over 100 years, we remain the only privately-owned boys' preparatory school in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs.
